Evaluation Question 7

Evaluation Question 6

I used a lot of different technology products and software throughout the production of my magazine. They all helped me a lot with my magazine. Some I had used before and learnt more things on it. Some things I had never used before and throughout my production I learnt a lot of skills and improved  largely.
Above is a Canon DSLR Camera. I had used one of these before so knew some of the features to use but there were many different ones on there and I hadn't used most of them so learnt how to use them a long the way. The camera helped me a lot with my model shots and the features helped me to get a perfect shot for my magazine.

Here i have shown how to use photoshop. How to add text and brighten up an image. I have also show how to use blogger on IShowU.  I have shown how to compose text and insert an embedded code.

Evaluation Question 5

Evaluation Question 4

Here I have drawn what I see as my target audience. This is the stereotypical look of the person who would buy my magazine.

Her name is Lucy. She is 14 years old and is still at school (high school). Her favourite hobbies are dancing and singing. And she loves make-up and would love to know new make-up tips and what good make-up to buy. Lucy is at that age of where she needs to learn life tips, like make-up, relationships etc. She likes to wear fashionable clothes and has great style. She is into pop music and likes to sing songs by artists like Katy Perry, Justin Bieber and One Direction and dance to artists like that too. Her main goal in life is to become a singer so reading about the model used in my magazine who is a singer is perfect for her. All these combined Lucy is the perfect person to be reading magazines like mine.

Evaluation Question 3

Front Cover
By clicking on the Flickr slide above, it will take direct you to my Flickr slideshow of where I have annotated my music magazine regarding distribution.

Evaluation: Question 2

Expression: As you can see both models are pulling the same facial expression. They are both smiling with a big grin. They show happiness and fun which relates to the magazine theme and audience. It will help attract a female audience, specifically a younger female audience aged 13-16.

Posture: The posture is near enough the same from both magazines though my model is slightly turned whereas the 'we love pop' model is facing the camera directly. This shows the female audience confidence from women.

Shot-type: Both models shots are close ups. I think this shows the female audience to be confident and not be afraid to get up close and personal.

Costume, Hair and Make-Up: Both models have their hair up. I think this once again shows the female audience confidence and show off their face and beauty and not hide it. Both models are wearing feminine colours which would attract the female audience. Also both wearing accessories which again will also attract the female audience. Both show natural beauty by wearing minimum make up which once again would give confidence to the female audience. As it is a close up you can't see much of the outfit but the slight bit you can, the make up, accessories and hair can still show a lot.

Overall both of my models have very similar facial features which also goes along with the similar posture alongside the feminine touches they both bring with colours, fashion etc. These are all qualities of my target audience for my music magazine.

My Final Magazine.

Contents Progression

Here again I've put a drop shadow on my extra image I have added in.

Contents Progression

I've started to add more images to my contents page so it looks more fuller and there's not a lot of empty spaces.

Contents Progression

Here I am still experimenting with different colours for the titles of my pages. Here I am also making my main title for what is included in my magazine, stand out with again doing a drop shadow. I've seen that this feature is very useful for making things stand out.

Contents Progression

I've started to experiment with different colours on the titles of each page number so they stand out.

Contents Progression

This shows me using the spacing of the page so it doesn't look cramped. I've spaced out the writing so it's a lot easier to read.

Contents Progression

This shows the drop shadow being used on the images I've used and how you can see it makes the images stand out.

Contents Progression

This shows me using my tools and using a drop shadow on my contents page. This makes the pictures on my contents page stand out.

Contents Progression

As well as my front cover, I didn't like my contents page and decided to change the colours of that also. I've started to put different background colours in to, in a girly pink cover that matches my front cover along with the font being purple that also matches my front cover.

Fourteenth Draft Of My Magazine

From the last time I worked on my magazine I have started to play around with fonts to see which ones go best with my genre. As you can see I've experimented with different fonts for the cover line for the model.

Fourth Draft Of My Double Page Story

I've started to change my double page story around with the colours and now adding images and building the double page up.

Thirteenth Draft Of My Magazine

Here I have started to experiment with different fonts for my magazine and make it a different range of styles.

Twelfth Draft Of My Maagzine.

I've now stated to add my text back on to my magazine to position it where it needs to go. I've also changed the position of 'Win flower bomb perfume' To the top and taken the oval shape out of it. The Seventeen magazine is still there to help me as it is my inspiration.

Eleventh Draft Of My Magazine.

I've now stated to put a white outline on my title to make it stand out more. I also think the white goes well with the pink and purple.

Tenth Draft Of My Magazine.

I've started to experiment with colours here for my title. Thinking of appropriate colours for a pop magazine. Starting with pink, which I think also goes good with the purple background.

Ninth Draft Of My Magazine

Here I've started to change the background colour even more to a shade of two purples. I've also started to make a new title. I've also taken out all my texts so it's easier for me to work with and get my colours right.

Bar Slip Change

I've changed the bar slip to a lighter purple but a different shade to my background. I also made some of the images straighter instead of turned, getting my inspiration of the seventeen magazine.

Eighth Draft Of My Magazine

I decided that I didn't want my magazine to look the way it looked. The colours were too bright and girls are more into light colours than dark. I just weren't very happy with the way it looked and thought I could improve it so I've started to change the colours to lighter colours and moved the positioning of the bar strip to the top instead. My inspiration for my magazine is coming from the seventeen magazine that you can see on my magazine.

Second Draft Of My Double Page Spread

I've not done that much more from the last time I worked on my double page spread. I've wrote two more questions and answers but I'm expecting to get a lot more done in the next lesson.

Social Media Feeback

I put my magazine up on to twitter to get feedback on it. I got some good feedback on it.

Third Draft Of My Contents Page

From my second draft of my contents I have completely changed everything about it. I've changed the background from pink to purple. I've made one big box instead of two and put them purple. I've changed the font and made it a lot smaller and put it to a black standard colour which I think works well for the writing and the colours I've used. I've put a picture of my model, a long shot of her. I've also added the jumper thats on my front cover, that you can win, on to my contents. The only thing I have kept the same from the last time I worked on my contents page is the word 'contents' and the style, font and colour of it. The 'contents' I kept yellow because it goes opposite to the colour of my title of my magazine on the front cover but is the same colour as the oval shape behind my magazine title.

Seventh Draft Of My Magazine

I have made a lot of progress since the last time I worked on my magazine. I have added all the pictures at the bottom I need aka. a lipstick a picture of a model I am using and a make up brush. I've also added a picture of the perfume you can win and changed the perfume you can win so put the right name of the perfume in the back oval shape. I have added my model to the magazine, a close up of her, and put her in a spacing that I think is suitable. I changed my front cover model so changed the name of her on the cover line also. I also changed the bottom shapes colour from red to pink.

First Draft Of My Double Page Story

This is my first draft of my double page story. I went with the pink colour to stick with the theme. I thought the white goes with the colours I've used well and isn't too bright for my double page story. I went with the font and tilt for my title because I liked the way it looked and think it was different.
